Addon Domains vs Parked Domains

Our customers can host domains on their hosting accounts. These domains can either be addon domains or parked domains.

Parked domains are so-called aliases: they replicate the contents of the customer's main domain.

Check in the cPanel manual - http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/AllDocumentation/CpanelDocs/ParkedDomains describe how you can create a parked domain.

Addon domains are domains that have their own content.

For example you have an account on which you host only one domain (main domain) - a.com and it is devoted lets say to selling ice-cream. After some time you decide to open another site (b.com) under the same account say that sells shoes. You can create an addon domain name for this website through your cPanel:
